“Karen” came to Navarro Dental Group in hopes of enhancing her smile. With dark and malpositioned teeth, the patient had anxiety over her smile. Dr. Nick Navarro further diagnosed that the patient had a square arch form, and imbalances throughout her entire mouth. Her centrals (front teeth) were angled in and misshapen. Her laterals and cuspids were over-pronounced, and they were attributing to her square arch form. A large part of correcting Karen’s smile would include restructuring her arch form.
Through the use of diagnostic wax ups and study models, Dr. Navarro was able to create a parabolic arch form by vastly altering the shape, size, and angulation of her teeth. Horizontal and vertical pitch lines were corrected, and a beaming white shade was decided upon. In the end, Karen left with a gorgeous new smile that exceeded her expectations.
