Promoting health through preventative and routine hygiene care is the heart of our practice. With routine hygiene visits and the most conservative general dentistry, we help families achieve dental health that lasts a lifetime. Our extensive training in all aspects of restorative and hygiene care make our office the ideal place for the entire family.
Our licensed dental hygienist has over 30 years of clinical experience. Working with Dr. Navarro, complete reports of the dental hygiene treatment and/or clinical observations about the conditions in your mouth are carefully noted.
Checkups & Cleanings

The best way to maintain good oral health is to visit your dentist on a regular basis. For most patients, we recommend seeing a dentist every six months. Patients who are at a greater risk of oral disease, have poor oral hygiene or have certain medical conditions should have dental checkups more often.
During a checkup, our dental hygienist will thoroughly clean, polish and remove the hardened plaque (or tartar) from your teeth. Our dentist, Dr. Navarro, will then examine your teeth and gums for signs of tooth decay, gum disease and other oral health problems. If any issues are discovered, Dr. Navarro will offer advice on how to improve your oral health. More severe cases may require additional dental treatments. Regular cleanings at our East Islip office are an important part of cavity prevention.
